Colgate Palmolive shifts creative duties to Bates 141

02 Aug 2010

The Indian arm of Colgate Palmolive has shifted its creative duties from Rediffusion Y&R to Bates 141 India after a 25-year association.

Colgate Palmolive and TME, the media wing of Rediffusion had parted ways in February following Colgate's global realignment.

The media duties were then handed over to MEC (Mediaedge:cia), a GroupM company, which has been handling the worldwide operations for Colgate, barring India, since 2004. (See: MEC takes over Colgate Palmolive's media biz from TME in India)

Bates 141, a WPP agency, will set up a special outfit to handle the Colgate account.
Colgate Palmolive India has a presence in the oral, personal and household care segments with products such as toothpastes, handwash, skin and hair care amongst others.
