Mumbai: D-Link, the LAN major, has announced the launch of a new range of high-end networking products aimed at enterprises and carrier-class customers.

The range of products covers Metro Access routers, Metro and Core Edge Aggregation Routers and Multi Service Access Routers. These new products will now enable the company to provide end-to-end WAN solutions, too.

The new range of products was launched at a well-attended seminar, NetIPVision 2003, in Mumbai, where more than 1,000 networking professionals were exposed to the new products. These technical seminars will be held in over 23 cities throughout India until the end of June 2003.

The total size of the high-end networking market in India is around Rs 700 crore. D-Link, going by its recent performance in other product segments, usually captures 15 to 20 per cent market share of any new segment it enters, within two years.

Its current turnover of approximately Rs 325 crore should double within two years. Just 10 days ago, D-Link had announced a major initiative to manufacture state-of-the-art computer motherboards in India, in collaboration with global major, Gigabyte of Taiwan.
