Deloitte and Everonn collaborate to offer IFRS training

26 Nov 2010

Deloitte and Everonn Education Limited have announced a joint programme to offer international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and enterprise risk management training to graduates and accounting professionals.

The IFRS content developed by Deloitte in India will be delivered by its team across the country at Everonn Studios using the VSAT platform. The programme consists of two courses, IFRS basics for graduates and IFRS Advanced for accounting professionals.

''This collaboration assumes significance considering the ministry of company affairs has laid down the road map for IFRS applicability in India,'' said Jim Brady, leader of Deloitte's risk consulting practice.

The first phase of IFRS will be implemented FY 2011-12, and cover NSE Nifty 50, BSE Senxex 30, companies with overseas listing, and companies with more than Rs1,000 crore net-worth. By the FY 2014-15, all listed companies are to comply with IFRS.
