Discovery Travel and Living revamps self

Discovery Travel and Living, the lifestyle channel, is set for a revamp. It will be re-branded as TLC as part of Discovery's initiative to have a single branding for the channel worldwide.

The change will be effected since 1 September.

The channel will also bring in a slew of new shows, new hosts and explore newer locations. On its agenda are 15 new shows, new seasons for its successful shows like 'Living with a Superstar-Shah Rukh Khan' and six new hosts joining in the act. 

The new bouquet includes programs like 'Everyday Exotic', 'Fun Asia' and others, with a total of 150 hours of coverage on topics like travel and cuisine, adventure amongst others.

TLC plans to reach the 50 million subscriber mark in the Indian sub-continent this year. It also plans to increase its network to 75 countries by 2011.
