Doordarshan calls pitch to award OOH duties

Government-owned television broadcaster, Doordarshan, which has ad revenues of Rs1,000 crore, has invited applications from OOH agencies to handle its outdoor mandate for a period of two years.

The broadcaster's specifications call for agencies that have led a minimum of three campaigns in more than 50 cities in the last financial year and have hands-on experience of dealing with a general entertainment channel in the past three financial years.

Also, the participating agencies should have offices in more than 12 cities, along with a presence in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.

The OOH campaign will be used to highlight the upcoming commonwealth game schedules and other programmes on the channel.

Earnest money to be deposited is Rs5 lakh and the last date for entries is 22 July, 2010 by 4 pm.
