Embraer said that firm order backlog for the commercial aviation, executive aviation, and defense and government segments increased by $1.8 billion during the third quarter of 2007, totalling a record $17.4 billion.

For the third quarter, the company said that it achieved scheduled aircraft production by delivering 38 jets to the commercial aviation segment, nine Legacy 600 aircraft to the executive aviation segment and one EMB 120 Brasilia to the defence and government segment for the government of Angola.

Embraer reported that all the efforts made by it to fix the supply chain and production processes were delivering expected results. It said that a third shift was nearly implemented, and that it now expects to deliver between 165 and 170 jets in 2007.
