Emirates to launch daily services to New York from June

Mumbai: Emirates airlines, launched in 1985, has announced the launch of its first passenger service to North America on June 1. The non-stop service to New York's JFK airport will operate daily from Dubai, which is served by 43 non-stop flights per week from India. The airline is celebrating the launch of the service by offering first and business class passengers exclusive fly-and-stay packages.
Exclusive Emirates offer for first and business class passengers who fly Emirates between 1st June and 31st August 2004:
First class passengers will receive a complimentary three nights in a deluxe room at either the Ritz-Carlton in New York (Central Park or Battery Park), Philadelphia, Boston, South Beach or Washington DC including breakfast or seven days car rental
Business Class Passengers will receive a complimentary three nights in a deluxe room at either the Ritz-Carlton in New York (Central Park or Battery Park), Philadelphia, Boston, South Beach including breakfast or Washington or four (04) days car rental
Economy Class Passengers- can avail complimentary usage of the exclusive Marhaba Lounge at Dubai International Airport

With an investment of $1.8 billion in its new fleet of Airbus A340-500s, Emirates is set to reinvent long-haul travel. The new first class suites costing $175,000 each are installed on Emirates' latest jets — making them as comfortable as the most luxurious executive aircraft.

Announcing the route launch, Abdulla Nasser Abdulla Hussain, Emirates' vice president for India and Nepal, said, "We are confident that the advantages of the A340-500, interms of it being the fastest flight to New York together with the various passenger-friendly amenities and the grand introductory offer, will result in healthy revenues for the airline."

The service to New York is being launched with a special promotional fare which offers first class tickets at Rs296,000, business class tickets at Rs191,000 and economy class tickets at Rs53,000. The promotional fares are valid upto May 31st 2004.
