Expand Beyond''s Pocket DBA to support Teradata

Mumbai: Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), the global technology leader in enterprise data warehousing, analytic applications and data warehousing services and Expand Beyond, a leading provider of mobile systems-management suite of products for IT industry, have entered into an agreement whereby the latter''s Pocket DBA mobile software will support Teradata.

With this tie-up, database and system administrators will be able to have access to secure, real-time management Teradata data warehouses from a mobile device or Web browser and hence increase productivity and improve responsiveness to their customers.

With Pocket DBA, Teradata administrators can check the status of load utilities, monitor query performance and immediately respond to critical system events such as space management. Pocket DBA is scalable to accommodate the needs of the Teradata warehouse. It runs on Pocket PC, Palm OS, new BlackBerrys and other mobile devices including smartphones, PDAs, laptops and desktops.
