Expertus Infotech to target MNCs in India

Chennai: The city based Expertus Infotech Ltd, a solutions provider for the human resources domain, is targeting multinational corporations located in India. "We will try to tap our existing US clients having a base in India," says Ramesh Ramani, president and CEO, Expertus Inc.

The Rs.20 crore turnover Expertus Infotech is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Expertus Inc.The human resource chain in a company involves three stages viz., hiring, retaining and retiring. The human capital management (HCM) comes into picture in the middle stage — employee retention — and mainly involves employee training, managing skill sets and assessing the performance.

And Expertus is involved in the business of providing software solutions, back office support for these activities from its development centres in US, UK, Dubai and Chennai.

"The total spend on human capital management is put at $95 billion and the outsourced market size in this space is $16 billion. Our target market size is around $5 billion," said Mohana Radhakrishnan, vice president , client services. She claims that Expertus is the only company that provides end-to-end offerings in the HCM domain.

According to Ramani, the Indian subsidiary plans to increase the headcount by 400 numbers this fiscal. Presently the Chennai company has 100 employees.

"Whether our services are offered onsite or off site depends on the work nature. Some are done onsite and some at the back office," Ramani added. Expertus Inc has around 20 clients in US.
