Ford Endeavour corners 29-per cent market for premium SUVs

Mumbai: Ford India's popular true blue SUV, the Endeavour maintained its undisputed leadership position through the first quarter of this year and sold more than 580 units through January to March, registering a 29-per cent market share in the SUV segment.

''The Endeavour continued to be supreme and came out strong in the first three months of the year and we are proud of our clear numero-uno position'' said Timothy Tucker, VP, sales, Ford India.

Accprding to Nigel Wark, executive director, marketing, sales and service, Ford India, ''The Endeavour continues to generate consumer interest and is an attractive combination of style, power and performance. With the consumers' confidence on our side, we remain focussed in maintaining our leadership position.''

Foerd India said that the Endeavour continued to be the preferred choice for Indian SUV buyers despite a slow down witnessed in the segment.

The Ford Endeavour is available in two variants – the 2.5L XLT and the 3.0L Thunder Plus.

In January, Ford India launched an Endeavour leadership advertising campaign with the 'No. 1 SUV' tagline, featuring Bollywood-star and entrepreneur Suneil Shetty.
