Google Nexus to debut in India by Q1 end

22 Jan 2011

Even as the rest of the world awaits the launch of the Google Nexus S smartphone in the coming months, some lucky US and UK citizens are already using it.

But the exclusiveness for the lucky few may not last long as  industry watchers say, the smartphone is likely to debut in India by the end of February or by the end of the first quarter.

Though the company's Galaxy S has been a thumping success in India, of late Samsung's authorised re-sellers and stores are running out of their stock of the handset.

Meanwhile, Google made the Nexus S and the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update official in the US on 7 December. The Nexus S was the first phone to be unveiled with the Gingerbread.

At present, Best Buy in US is selling the unlocked Google Nexus S for $530.

Meanwhile, Nexus S has been listed by two Indian online retails Infibeam and Flipkart under 'Coming Soon.'
