GTL Q3 net narrows to Rs 81.07 crore

Telecom network services provider GTL's consolidated net loss has narrowed to Rs81.07 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2012, down from a net loss of Rs102.98 crore posted during the same period a year ago.

The Mumbai-based company's revenues rose by 12 per cent to Rs 715.67 crore for quarter under review, compared with Rs638.68 crore in the same period last year, the company said in a statement.

The finance costs stood at Rs136.91 crore (Rs100.93 crore) for the quarter ended 31 December 2012.

The company's EBIDTA on a consolidated vbasis rose to Rs83.24 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2012, from Rs23.89 crore for the corresponding period in the previous year.

During the reporting quarter, the company's total expenses excluding depreciation stood at Rs632.43 crore, as against Rs614.79 crore posted during the corresponding period of the previous year.

Depreciation charges for the quarter stood at Rs35.52 crore as against Rs34.91 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

On a standalone basis, GTL posted revenues of Rs588.40 crore as against Rs488.94 crore during the third quarter of previous year.

Its standalone EBIDTA was at Rs78.81 crore as against Rs12.10 crore during the corresponding period in the previous year.
