Indian two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today said it has launched a range of its vehicles in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras in partnership with Indy Motos Group of Guatemala, which will sell the products in these markets.

Indy Motos has been appointed the authorised distributor of the company and the products will be distributed through its network of outlets spread across these countries, with more outlets to be added subsequently.

''This launch is a significant milestone for us considering this is the first of the new international markets where we are starting our operations. It is indicative of the significant role that markets in Central America and Latin America will play in our global expansion plans,'' Hero MotoCorp managing director and chief executive officer Pawan Munjal said in New Delhi.

The two-wheelers being launched in these markets include Hunk, Karizma, Glamour, HF Dawn, Splendor NXG, Super Splendor and Achiever.

''Our vision is to provide convenient, fuel-efficient mobility to every customer in this market, and with our wide range of products, we are committed to serving two-wheeler customers across this region,'' Munjal said.

The company will also soon commence operations in other new international markets in Latin and Central America and Africa to reach its objective of 10 per cent of its total volumes coming from international business in the next four to five years.

Hero MotoCorp currently exports to Columbia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
