Hero MotoCorp unveils 5 future models, including diesel concept two-wheelerHero MotoCorp, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, today unveiled five new models, including hybrid and diesel two-wheelers that would be launched, starting next financial year.

The models include Hero HX250R - an all-new 250-cc sports bike, RNT- a diesel concept bike, Leap - an electric-serial-hybrid scooter, Dash - an all-new 110 cc scooter and a new 150-cc 'Xtreme' - sports edition.

The concept new diesel scooter, Hero RNT, is powered by a 150 cc diesel engine. The model also has detachable headlamps that can act as a torch.

The diesel scooter also has an electric hub motor in front wheel, which allows two-wheel drive on slush road.

The new models are yet to be formally named and for the present, some of the names are 'project codes' and the final names of the models may be different and will be announced at the time of their launch, the company said.

The actual prices of these models would also be announced at the time of their launch, Hero Motocorp said.

''This is yet another example of the India Story - the successful pursuit of our engineers to scale new technology frontiers on their own and leverage the best of technologies available around the world to make superior products which will cater to different geographies around the globe,'' Pawan Munjal, managing director and chief executive of Hero MotoCorp, said.

The company will unveil more products that are under development during the upcoming New Delhi Auto Expo next month, he said.

''There's more to come - a slew of products, including new concepts which you will get to see,'' Munjal added.
