Hewlett-Packard to buy consulting firm EYP Mission Critical Facilities

15 Nov 2007

Technology products and services company Hewlett-Packard said on Monday 12 November that it has agreed to buy data centre consulting company EYP Mission Critical Facilities for an undisclosed sum.

The New York-based EYP specialises in technology planning, design and operations support for large data centres. It has about 350 employees with offices in the US and the UK. Its customers are in the financial services, telecommunications, technology, broadcast, manufacturing and health care sectors, as well as the government.

HP said the acquisition will boost its ability to help clients improve their data centres and build new computing environments. The deal is expected to close in January 2008.
