Hindustan Motors organises ‘Ambassador Grand’ election contest in association with NDTV India

Mumbai: As the election fever reaches a crescendo, Hindustan Motors gives an opportunity to all the poll pundits across the country to win a brand new Ambassador 'Grand' with power steering.

The company, in association with New Delhi Television (Hindi) is running the first ever election contest — “Ambassador Grand Contest“. Starting today till May 12, 2004, the contest would invite participants to predict the number of seats that they are expecting the triumphant party (whichever it may be) to win. Participants could send in their response by sending an SMS to 6388. One lucky winner whose prediction comes closest to the actual number of seats won by the winning party will get the Ambassador 'Grand' in a colour of their choice.

Winner could be from any city within the country. HM shall deliver the Ambassador 'Grand' diesel (AC) with power steering in metallic colour on ex showroom price basis subject to certain terms and conditions.

Commenting on the contest, Soni Shrivastav, general manager, corporate communications, CK. Birla Group said, “This is the first time when a contest on elections is being organised on such a large scale. Elections are of an immense interest to everyone in this country and so is the Ambassador car. Therefore, we are utilising this opportunity to reach out to our target audience.“

NDTV India would promote the contest through election programme on their channel beginning today till May 12,2004. In case of multiple correct responses, winners would be decided by a lucky draw. Special announcements on the contest and the prize will be made during the opinion polls on May 7, 2004 and exit polls on May 5 and May 10, 2004.

The Ambassador 'Grand' with power steering comes with a remote shift gear and boasts of a new acoustic package that has been developed in association with Treves of France. The 'Grand' features the 1.8-litre strong Isuzu MPFi petrol engine and 2-litre diesel engine, and Isuzu MSG5T five-speed gearbox. It is available is 6 metallic colours - Boraque red, Mica Brown, Thurston Grey, Ivory, Bright Silver and Pearl Black.
