The price of the all-new Venue will be announced on 21 May and it will take on directly on the vehicles like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300. Hyundai has officially announced that the production of the Venue has started and the first-ever made-in-India was rolled out from the factory on Monday.
In just two days after it started accepting online bookings through dealerships, Hyundai has received 2,000 bookings. Since it is a high volume model for the brand, Hyundai is expected to build a good stock before the start of deliveries.
The highly popular Venue, Which is also the first-ever sub-4m compact SUV from the brand, could give buyers a long waiting period when launched in the market.
The Hyundai Venue will be available in 13 variants at the time of the launch. There are three engines available with the all-new Venue that will be spread across the variants. There are two petrol engine options and a single diesel engine option available with the Venue.
There is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that generates a maximum of 82 Bhp and peak torque of 114 Nm. The second petrol engine option, which is also the most powerful choice with the Venue, is a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that develops a maximum power of 118 Bhp and peak torque of 172 Nm. The 1.2-litre engine will be available with a 5-speed manual transmission only while the 1.0-litre engine option will get a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed Dual-Clutch automatic transmission.
The diesel variants of the Hyundai Venue will carry the 1.4-litre engine that produces a maximum of 89 BHP and 220 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. Hyundai will also offer a range of first-in-segment features with the Venue alongside regular features like sunroof and cruise control to attract the customers. It is likely to be priced attractively in the market as the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine will be available with only the base variants of the car.
