Hyundai Verna Transform to rolled out tomorrow

Hyundai is rolling out an all-new Verna Transform on 23 June.

The Verna (sold as the Accent in some markets) in its revised version will receive a receive a number of technical enhancements in addition to a heavily updated exterior and a few minor interior upgrades. On launch it will be pitted against existing C-segment sedans in the Indian market like Honda City, Maruti Suzuki SX4, Ford Fiesta, and also soon-to-be-launched Volkswagen Vento.

The three box car will like come with a price tag of Rs7-9 lakhs and will roll out from the company's Chennai facility.

According to reports, the Verna Transform will come in both petrol and diesel versions, offering an improved fuel economy. The Verna Transform will have an eco lamp on the dashboard to guide the driver to drive in the most economical way. A green lamp will light up when driving consistently to indicate high fuel efficiency driving, while a red lamp will indicate low fuel efficiency.

According to reports Hyundai has made quite a few changes including a new radiator grill, a new bumper, new headlamps on the exterior, while ipod connectivity, a new mp3 player, tacho dials and an illuminated panel which will turn blue to green, will be some of the changes in the interiors.

The car is expected to offer a mileage of 18 kmpl.

The model launched initially in South Korea is said to have become an instant success and the company has therefore decided to release it ahead of the Hyundai Verna 2011.

However, the car is said to leave much to be desired in the looks department.
