Infogain plans to open its third development centre in India

Mumbai: Infogain India, a US based IT consulting and services company yesterday announced its plans to open its third development centre in India by the end of the third quarter of 2004. Based in Noida, the new development centre would spread across over 90,000 sqft, divided in two buildings and will be able to house about 600 software professionals.

The new facility will provide expert competencies in product engineering services, application management, CRM, enterprise solution, integration and business intelligence.

The company has witnessed a dramatic growth in India, as organisations have turned to Infogain''s global dual shore delivery capability, in order to reduce costs, increased IT efficiency and enhance flexibility. Infogain''s growing global network is complemented by its operations in the United States and London, which provide critical client-facing relationship management and project management for all Infogain engagements.

Speaking at the occasion S.K. Nanda, chairman, Infogain India, said "We will invest $3 million in our 90,000 sq ft development facility coming up in Noida, which will house two buildings and will be operational by September 2004. We would continue to make investments in our Indian operations, as India is critical to Infogain's overall success. Further, to reach closer to the huge talent base in India, we are also exploring opportunities to set up another development center in Southern and Western India, which have recently emerged as global IT hubs."

He further added, "Infogain India has been growing rapidly, and we are witnessing 100% increase in its total employee strength annually. We are looking forward to add 300 people every year to become a 1000 workforce company by the end of 2006."
