Public sector oil marketing giant Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC) has empanelled three creative agencies – Dentsu, Percept's AMO Communications and Mumbai-based Inter Publicity for its communications.

IOCL spends an estimated Rs100 crore annually on advertising.

Twenty-six agencies responded to the pitch for the corporate mandate of the brand, called last month . The brief circulated amongst the agencies focused on the company's completion of 50 years.

After the first round of creative presentations, the three agencies were selected.

The incumbent agencies on the corporate business were Percept's IBD, Goldmine and Foresight. IOCL has a separate set of empanelled creative agencies for its product portfolio.

Lodestar Universal continues to be the media agency for the company and is in the midst of a three-year empanelment contract, having completed two years as the media agency for IOC.
