Iomega appoints Haja Sheriff as regional manager, Asia Pacific, Middle East

Mumbai: Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data storage, has appointed Haja Sheriff as regional manager of South Asia, Middle East and India.

Based in Singapore, Haja will drive the Iomega business, which includes sales, marketing, and management of channels, across ASEAN, the Middle East, and the Indian sub-continent.

Haja's responsibilities include business planning, retail and corporate channel development, including development of sales and marketing programs to drive demand and channel equity for Iomega. He will also consolidate existing OEM relationships, as well as develop new ones, in Asia.

Before joining Iomega, Haja was with IBM Singapore for seven years, in a regional capacity. At IBM Singapore, Haja began as channel sales manager for sales and distribution in ASEAN / SA, and was later moved to the role of channel sales manager - Software Group, ASEAN / SA, before taking on the role of regional solutions manager for one of IBM's key platforms, its iSeries.

Haja is a recipient of numerous awards at IBM.

Haja holds a Masters of Business Administration (specialized in Marketing) from the Bharathidasan Institute of Management in Trichy, India, as well as a bachelor's degree from the PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore.
