Google India has unveiled the Zeitgeist, a listing of the top keyword searches done by Indians in 2010.

''Zeitgeist 2010 offers a unique perspective on the year's major events and hottest trends based on searches that Indians did online,'' said Vinay Goel, head of products, Google India.

Among the fastest growing brands online, IRCTC ranks topmost with its tagline of 'Why be in line when you can be online.'

Micromax Mobiles is second on the list, beating competitors like Zen Mobile, Lava, Karbonn and Lemon Mobile, all of which are recent entrants into the Indian mobile industry.

Besides Micromax, Samsung Mobiles is the only other mobile brand in the top 10 fastest rising brands in the country.

Google Zeitgeist also revealed that FIFA outranked cricket in 2010 as the fastest growing search term on Google. Video-sharing website, YouTube is third on the list while micro-blogging site Twitter is the eighth fastest growing brand in India.
