Jetking income rises 39% to Rs 33 crore

Mumbai: Braving an adverse environment prevailing in the IT industry, the hardware and networking training pioneer Jetking Infotrain Ltd has powered its way to a 39-per cent growth in the topline, clocking a total income of Rs 33.45 crore for the financial year 2001-02 as compared to Rs 24 crore in the previous year.

Jelkings profit before interest, depreciation and tax went up from Rs 216.29 lakh to Rs 290.66 lakh in the period. The interest outgo reduced from Rs 11.32 lakh to a mere Rs 3.93 lakh. The companys net profit shot up to Rs 161.07 lakh, registering a massive growth of 44 per cent.

Says Jetking chairman and managing director Suresh Barwani: "The last time we had prepaid our loans. Now we are a debt-free company."

Jetking Infotrain Ltd, a leading hardware and networking training institute that has pioneered the highly popular Do-it-Yourself Kits, has about 60 centres across India and has trained over 50,000 students. At any point of time, there are about 20,000 students studying at its various centres.
