JLR launches F-Type two-seater convertible sports car in India

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) today launched its F-Type two-seater convertible sports car in India at a starting price of Rs1.61 crore.

FJLR, the UK subsidiary of Tata Motors, will sell the car in two versions-the S model, costing Rs1.37 crore, and the F-Type V8S, costing Rs1.61 crore (both prices ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The S model is powered by Jaguar's new 3-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine with 380 horse power and reaches 0-60 in 4.8 seconds.

It is estimated to give 27 miles per gallon in highway driving and reaches top speed of 171 mph.

It comes with center-mounted dual exhaust pipes, Jaguar high performance braking system with black calipers, Jaguar Smart Key System with keyless start and keyless entry, power folding, heated exterior mirrors with integrated LED turn signals and puddle lamps.

The F-Type V8S is 495 horse power, 5 litre V8 supercharged engine that reaches 0-60 in 4.2 second.

JLR says that this car gives 23 miles per gallon in highway driving and reaches top speed of 186 miles per hour.

Features include 20-inch cyclone wheels in silver finish, active sport exhaust with outboard mounted quad exhaust pipes, dual-zone automatic climate control with air filtration, leather sport seats with 14-way electric seat adjustment and rear parking sensors with touch-screen visual aids.
