KEC fiscal second quarter PAT up 135 per cent

KEC International Ltd, RPG Group flagship and a global leader in the project management business and an RPG group company, today reported a net profit of Rs42.09 crore for fiscal second quarter (July-September 2009-10) against Rs17.94 crore reported in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

The company's net sales stood at Rs875.11 crore against Rs806.70 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a growth of 8.48 per cent. Profit after tax (PAT) grew 134.62 per cent to Rs42.09 crore from Rs17.94 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company's order book todate stands at Rs5,543 crore, of which 57 per cent comes from the South Asia market and the balance 43 per cent from the international market, the release said.

"We are delighted that the profitability of the company has increased more than two-fold. We are confident that the company will continue its growth momentum in the backdrop of a large well balanced order book," Ramesh Chandak, MD & CEO of the company said.
