Kuppuswamy is Karur Vysya Bank chairman

Chennai: P T Kuppuswamy has become the chairman of Karur Vysya Bank from 1 June 2002. He has succeeded A D Navaneethan, who retired on 31 May 2002.

Kuppuswamy, who joined as executive director in July 2001, is a chartered accountant and a company secretary. He had earlier served in Canara Bank as general manager. He has been a member of some of the committees of the Reserve Bank of India as well as of the Indian Banks Association.
