L&T to promote Eden Garden integrated township in Chennai

Chennai: Larsen & Toubro in partnership with Dinesh Ranka Associates and Pragnya Trustees and Investment Company plans to promote a Rs1,200-crore Eden Garden, an integrated township in Chennai.

Speaking about the project that will be spread over 100 acres, Siruseri K Venkatesh, executive vice president, Developmental Projects Division, L&T-ECC, said, "The project will be developed in phases. The first phase will be 656 residential apartments consisting of two and three bedroom units."

The apartments will come up on 14 acres and would consist of eight blocks of 14 floors each.

A two-bedroom apartment would measure around 1,200 sq.ft while a three-bedroom flat will be of around 1,900 sq.ft.

The company declined to reveal the prices at which it will sell the apartments.

Asked about L&T's first integrated township project Estancia in Chennai Venkatesh said, "The final designs have been finalised. The project has acquired most of the legal sanctions."

The Rs1,500 crore Estancia is promoted partnering with another city based construction group Arun Excello.
