LyondellBasell is working to increase olefins feedstock supply at the La Porte facility after a fire at its Enterprise's Products unit at Mont Belvieu hit supplest.

In a statement issued today, LyondellBasell said the company continues to take steps to address the olefins feedstock disruptions caused by the fire at Enterprise's Mont Belvieu plant.

The fire affected pipelines supplying feedstock to both La Porte and Enterprise facilities, the company said.

"We have considerable feedstock flexibility at Channelview and have adjusted the feedstock slate to maintain normal operations," the company said.

LyondellBasell said it is currently returning the olefins units at Channelview to the same feedstock slate in place prior to supply disruptions caused by Enterprise's Mont Belvieu fire.

"At La Porte, we have been able to increase our olefins feedstock supply flexibility using alternate pipelines which will allow us to increase operating rates. We are continuing to address logistics that will enable us to return to full rates," it added.
