M&M hikes prices of utility vehicles

Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra has increased the prices of its utility vehicles by up to Rs26,100, the company said today.

"The prices of all our vehicles are increased due to Bharat Stage-IV emission norms and slight effect of commodity price increase," a Mahindra & Mahindra spokesperson said.

The fuel price increase has also been factored in while working out the quantum of hike, the spokesman added.

M&M has hiked the price of its flagship sports utility vehicle Scorpio between Rs10,300 and Rs17,500. Utility vehicle Bolero's price also stands increased by Rs26,100.

According to the official, M&M's latest offering, the Xylo, will now cost Rs15,300 -15,900 more.

The month marks the introduction of Bharat Stage IV emission norms in 13 cities and with its introduction many carmakers, including Hyundai, General Motors and Toyota, have hiked prices.
