M&M launches a new pick-up utility version of its Bolero

Ahmedabad: Utility vehicle major Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has launched a new version of its popular utility vehicle, the Bolero. With the New Bolero Camper DX, M&M is reportedly optimistic about capturing a fair market share in the pick-up vehicle segment, specially in the western Indian state of Gujarat. According to the company, the state of Gujarat alone accounts for 85 per cent of M&M's market share in the pick-up category, and M&M's total market share nationally is at around 77 per cent. Speaking to reporters, Vivek Nayer, vice president of marketing for the auto sector at M&M said that the new vehicle would cater to customer segments looking for multi-utility pick-up vehicles. The pick-up has been priced in the range of Rs5.43 lakh, ex-showroom Ahmedabad. It is powered by a 63-horsepower diesel engine, is capable of seating five people, and carries around 710 kg of cargo.
