Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its sub-one tonne Maxximo mini-truck in Nepal, priced at Rs9.65 lakh.

Maxximo is equipped with a 2-cylinder CRDe engine with DOHC technology, and delivers 18.4 Kw of power and 55 Nm of torque along with superior fuel economy of 20 kmpl and a top speed of 70 kmph, said Mahindra.

''Since its launch in India in 2010, the Maxximo mini-truck has already achieved a 22-per cent market share in the small LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) four-wheeler category,'' said Pravin Shah, chief executive, international operations, automotive and farm equipment sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra.

The mini-truck comes with beige-and-tan 2-tone seats with headrests, wrap-around headlamps that flank the front grille and multi-focal reflectors. Capacity wise, the Maxximo offers 35 sq ft loading area coupled with 850 kg of rated payload to carry extra load.

''The launch of the Maxximo mini-truck in Nepal will soon be followed by the launch of the Maxximo mini van,'' Shah added.

T M Dugar Group, which already retails Mahindra's other LCV products in Nepal, will be the distributor for the mini-truck in the region.
