Mahindra launches updated XUV500 at a base price of Rs11.21 lakh

Utility vehicle major Mahindra & Mahindra today unveiled an updated version of its XUV500, priced in the range of Rs11.21 lakh to Rs15.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). While the entry level W4 is priced at Rs11.21 lakh, the top trim W10 comes with a price tag of Rs15.99 lakh.

''Today, as we launch the new-age XUV500, we have enhanced the finesse and driving experience, while retaining the DNA of the cheetah-inspired XUV500,'' Mahindra & Mahindra executive director Pawan Goenka said after the launch.

The updated version sports added features, including electric sunroof, push button start and 6-way adjustable seats.

The new version of XUV500 claims a technology edge over its predecessor, new styling and luxurious interiors, besides improved dynamic torque delivers driving pleasure on any terrain and enhanced suspension that makes for superior ride and handling.

''Brimming with exciting new age technology, the New Age XUV500 has been designed for a whole new experience,'' M&M said in is brochure.

The Mumbai-based firm had first launched the XUV in September 2011.

''We plan to launch nine products, including two new compact SUVs, refreshes and variants in the current fiscal,'' Goenka said.
