Mahindra Satyam revamps top management

Mahindra Satyam, the company created after Tech Mahindra's takeover of scam-hit Satyam Computer Services, on Tuesday announced the expected changes in its management that saw more senior executives from Tech Mahindra take key positions in the new company.

Rakesh Soni, chief operating officer at Tech Mahindra, was named chief operating officer of Mahindra Satyam. He will lead the integration of the two companies as well as head the banking, financial services and insurance, emerging verticals and strategic accounts divisions, the firm said in a statement.

Former chief executive officer A S Murthy becomes Mahindra Satyam's chief technology officer. Murthy will also lead engineering, consulting and infrastructure management services. On 23 June, the company had named C P Gurnani as its chief executive, replacing Murthy.

Atul Kanwar, chief business development officer at Tech Mahindra, was appointed as its head of business development and operations for regional business groups - Europe, Australasia, West Asia, Africa and India. Manish Mehta, who led system, analysis and programme development at Satyam, will now head delivery.

Keshab Panda, who was previously chief of Mahindra Satyam's Continental Europe, energy and utilities and manufacturing operations, will head business development and operations for manufacturing, BFSI, emerging verticals and strategic accounts, the company said.

T R Anand will head business development and operations for telecom, media and entertainment, tech infra and semiconductor verticals in addition to channel business through alliance partners, Tech Mahindra and new technology companies. Ravi Bommakanti will head the delivery for these businesses. Hari T will handle the dual role of chief people officer and chief marketing officer.
