New Delhi: Maruti Udyog has announced a nominal increase in prices of all its models except the Maruti 800, which will be announced later. The hike varies from 0.3 per cent to 1.34 per cent or from Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000.

As a result of the hike Alto, Baleno, Esteem, Zen, Versa and Wagon-R variants will become costlier by Rs 2,000 costlier while Omni and Gypsy models would get Rs 3,000 dearer.

The company cited rising input costs as the reason for the increase in prices.

The largest price increase has been on the Omni, which will now cost Rs2,27,177 up from the earlier Rs2,24,177.

This price increase comes after a year. Last year January Maruti Udyog had increased prices of M800, Alto, WagonR and Zen by 0.2 to 0.75 per cent. It had hiked the price of M800 and M800 AC version by Rs1,526 to Rs204,000 and Rs 227,000 respectively.

The price of the 8-seater and 5-seater Omni van was increased by Rs1,239 to Rs223,000 and Rs221,000, respectively.
