Chennai: The Department of Posts through its 700 Head Post Offices will sell membership scratch cards and registration forms of marriage portal BharatMatrimony.com Pvt Ltd,.

Launching the new offering on April 19, 2006 Bharat Matrimony CEO J Murugavel said, "Our tie- up with the Department of Posts will not only strengthen our retail network but will also add to our credibility."

Free members of the portal can now become paid members by purchasing these scratch cards from their nearby Head Post Offices and upgrade their membership online. The members can just login to their accounts and upgrade their profile by entering the member upgradation number.

A non-member can also avail the desired services through the registration forms available at the Head Post Offices. This form can be sent to Bharatmatrimony office for processing. On receipt of the form the members' profiles their identities (ID) are created.

Members, on intimation of the ID, can then login and start utilising the services of the portal.

Two membership packages, Classic and Classic Super will be available at these head post offices. Both these packages will be for 3 month, 6 month and 9 month membership period.
