Moser Baer India Ltd has introduced the world's slimmest micro USB flash drive with embedded LED, which measures just 29.4 mm x 12.4 mm x 2.3 mm in size.

The super miniature model weighs 1.3 gm and is equipped with advanced 'chip-on-board' technology, which enables up to 8GB of flash storage to fit into an incredibly small case.

"Innovation has always been at the core of Moser Baer and it is a moment of great pride for us to introduce the world's slimmest USB drives," said Deepak Shetty, senior vice president, domestic sales and marketing. "Our objective was to cater to the Gen X, which believes in stylish products that are compact yet fully loaded for action.

This product will prove to be a dream come true for our consumers," he added.

The Moser Baer USB allows users to store movies, music, photos and personal documents in a format that is one-third the size of a typical USB flash drive.

The USB drive comes loaded with innovative technology features such as 'My Zone', which allows users to define their private and personal storage space with a password making it secure for storing sensitive data and can be hooked on to a key chain, mobile phone or even be used as a fashion accessory.

Designed in the bubble model, these USBs are embedded with LEDs and are available in strawberry red, vibrant yellow, green, pink and orange colours. The USBs come in ergonomic rubber casings and Moser Baer plans to launch two more variants - swivel and slider models.

While supporting all practical functions of a classical USB flash drive, the new Moser Baer USBs are supported by the high-speed 2.0/2.1 interface and are compatible with Windows7, Macintosh and Linux platforms.

The drives, available in 4GB and 8GB capacities, are priced at Rs750 and Rs1,150, respectively, and are backed by a 5-year warranty. The USBs are being made available across the country, Moser Baer added.
