Moser Baer Photo Voltaic awarded 5 Star rating by TÜV Rheinland

05 Mar 2010

Moser Baer Photo Voltaic Ltd (MBPV) has received the 5 Star quality rating from TÜV Rheinland. The award recognises the highest standards adopted by the company in its business operations.

MBPV was awarded the 5 Star rating after the company scored 99.2 per cent in a recent audit conducted by TUV Rheinland. The 5 Star rating under the "quality" category means that the 'quality systems and practices' followed by the company meet the parameters set for management systems, supply chain management, performance indicators, performance reporting and benchmarking.

Each star rating is associated with a certain risk assessment that varies from 'highly recommended' to 'no improvement necessary for 'best-in-class' organisations. The rating system ensures that areas of risk are easily identified by the number of stars awarded.

"We have traditionally focussed on maintaining the highest standards of quality in all our operations and this award is recognition of this fact. Quality is a hallmark of all operations at Moser Baer and we take pride in it. 5 Star rating by TÜV Rheinland provides a highly credible assessment of an organisation's capabilities. It is indeed a special moment for India as we are the first Indian company across all sectors to have achieved the highest rating on Quality," Ratul Puri, executive director of MBIL, said.

"2010 will prove to be a sunshine year for the solar sector and developments like this will enable the international consumers to place greater trust in our products. Globally people now look up to India to provide innovative products matching international standards. This award will reinforce the trust reposed in us by our international customers. Our endeavour is to provide the best quality products and services to our customers and this 5 Star rating means that our customers will now be able to officially label the products and services offered by us as 'Best in Class' products and services," Rajiv Arya, CEO of MBPV, said.
