Net4India launches 'unlimited calling' to the US

Mumbai: Net4India Limited, one of the leading IP communications providers, has announced an ''unlimited calling'' facility through their Phonewala International Service. The facility is a pre-paid service that offers a wide-range of calling plans to meet the communication needs of customers, and is targeted at business enterprises and individuals.

Every new customer is offered a local number in the US free of charge, as part of the scheme. The number can be selected from 11 specific locations, from which the customer can receive calls. The service also offers the benefit of using smart calling features like caller ID, voicemail, call forwarding, three-way calling, redial, call return and call blocking. Net4India will be offering the service in the UK, Canada and France as well.

"The unlimited calling service is ideal for small and medium sized businesses, students and individuals who have relatives living abroad," said Jasjit Sawhney, CEO, Net4India. "Having a local presence in the US, UK, France and Canada will give customers the freedom to talk to their customers, relatives at any time without worrying about the bills or recharging their accounts. Our aim is to bring the benefits of Internet telephony to a larger audience and Unlimited Calling is another step forward in the direction," he added.

Talking about the future plans, Sawhney said that the company would be offering unlimited calling packages for Southeast Asian countries including China, as the market offers a huge opportunity.

Phonewala contributes 30 per cent to the overall revenues of Net4India. The Phonewala service was launched in 2002 and the company enjoys leadership in Internet telephony segment with the largest market share.
