New Tata, Fiat cars to come with free fuel in Delhi, NCR

Mumbai: Tata Motors has tied up with state-owned Hindustan Petroleum Corporation to offer free fuel, worth Rs 10,000, for up to one year to new car buyers, under a promotional scheme for its vehicles.

The scheme, valid in Delhi and NCR region from 24 January to March 25, is applicable on purchase of Tata and Fiat cars, Tata Motors said in a release.

"This offer allows new car customers who purchase Tata or Fiat cars to avail free fuel for up to one year," Tata Motors said in the statement. 

Free fuel would be offered in the form of a preloaded HPCL Club HP Smart 1 card, which can be used at select HPCL outlets.

"The campaign has been designed to offer convenience and benefits to customers. We are extremely pleased with this association and the support we have received from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation," Tata Motors regional manager Jalaj Gupta said.

The customers owning this card would also enjoy the benefits of HPCL loyalty card programme on purchases of products and services at these outlets.

"Customers will also enjoy the benefits of the HPCL Loyalty Card Programme on purchases of products and services at these outlets," the statement said. 
 
Tata Motors and Fiat have a tie-up for sharing the dealership network. Tata Motors has been facing declining sales in recent times due to product fatigue. In December, Tata's passenger car sales dropped 13 per cent to 14,316 units on a year-on-year basis. 
 
While the Safari sports utility vehicle reported a growth in sales, the Indica, Indigo and Sumo models saw double digit dip in sales. 
 
Indigo sales dropped by 33 per cent in December. Cumulative sales of passenger vehicles during April-December were down 3.7 per cent at 151,136 units as well.
