Panasonic launches eco-friendly products

Panasonic has announced its new social green initiative in India, 'Eco Caravan'.

This initiative aims at sensitising people about the gradual effect of using a particular range of routine products on global environment.

The activity kicks off in Kolkata starting tomorrow, 11 September 2009 and then moves to Chennai, Mumbai and finally ends on October 16 2009 in Delhi.

To strengthen its marketing strategy, Panasonic will put on display its brand new line of eco friendly refrigerators, air-conditioners, washing machines and other gizmos equipped with the inverter technology. This pioneering technology aims at cutting down on the energy consumption by as much as 50 per cent. Also, the extensive range of gadgets by Panasonic would be showcased during this exhibition.

Sabiha Kidwai, Panasonic India's general manager, brand management and cstrategy will also be announcing the 'Eco Ideas Declaration' that aims at minimising the impact of the business operation on the environment.

The caravan style hands-on environmental exhibition providing visitors with an opportunity to learn about ecological challenges while relaxing using interactive touch screens with an eco quiz and an eco calculator, which enables visitors to find out how much they can save on their water and electricity bills by using Panasonic's eco-friendly Products.
