Patni Computer amongst IDG's 'Giants' in CIO 100

Patni Computer Systems Ltd has ranked among the 'The Giant 100' companies at the first CI0 100 awards in India for demonstrating excellence in deploying technology solutions to deliver optimum business value.

Instituted by IDG's CI0 magazine 19 years ago in the US, the CIO 100 awards are conferred on companies from the IT segment. IDG has now extended these awards to India, starting this year.

Patni Computers received the award for its technology farsightedness in building a Corporate Performance Management System (CPMS). This is based on an agile IT Infrastructure that has the capability to monitor performance of its business units a fine-tune operations in accordance with the business goals. This advanced technological capability has enabled quick access to mission-critical information, which is useful for enhanced operational efficiency and superior financial performance.

Commenting on the award Mr Satish Joshi, CTO, of the Company said, "The CI0 100 award is a testimony of Patni's pro-activity in addressing client needs through adoption of new technologies. CPMS is a critical component of our global delivery model and allows us to achieve improved operational efficiencies that are critical for delivering consistent and high quality IT services in every location we operate."
