Reliance Communications (RCom) said that it has crossed the 10-crore subscriber mark even as it plans adding mobile subscribers on the same scale in the next three years.

Apart from RCom, Bharti Airtel is the only telco to have crossed the 10-crore subscriber mark.

In a statement, Reliance ADA group chairman Anil Ambani said, ''The landmark 10-crore mobile customer base makes us the youngest telecom operator to achieve this milestone in such a short span of time. As we take the leap to achieve the 20-crore mark, we will lead it from the front with more customer-centric innovations and service approach.''

Reliance Communications' president Mahesh Prasad said that the company was open to all opportunities and was not averse to acquisitions in the country.

He added the company would do so at the right opportunity.

With the development, Reliance Communications (RCom) has also become the world's fourth largest single country mobile services operator and is projecting doubling its subscribers to 20 crore within 1,000 days.
