Rockford to bring audio range to India

Mumbai: Rockford Corporation, the largest designer-cum-manufacturer of mobile audio amplifiers and the second-largest in mobile audio speakers in the US is entering the Indian market through a tie-up with Digimax India.

Rockford designs, manufactures and distributes high-performance audio systems for the mobile, professional and home theatre audio markets in the US. The company''s mobile audio products are primarily sold in global markets to consumers who want to improve the audio systems in their cars, trucks, boats and airplanes.

Digimax India has been appointed Rockford''s exclusive authorised distributor in India. Zareer , head of Digimax, this company is also the distributor of Monster Cable products, legendary among audiophiles across the globe. Monster has the largest share of the cable and interconnects audio market in the world — with a presence in over 60 countries.

Rockford markets its mobile audio products under the brand names of Rockford Fosgate, Lightning Audio, and MB Quart. The products include digital and analog amplifiers, speakers, source units, CD changers and accessories.

Lightning Audio presents the budget-minded consumers with a line of high-performance amplifiers and sub-woofers under the sub-brands Strike, Storm and Bolt. These products are more moderately priced than the Rockford Fosgate range.

MB Quart, offering offer German engineered precision is the top-of-the-line brand and appeals to consumers who are willing to pay a premium price for the best mobile audio speakers in the market.
