Samsung launches three 3G-enabled handsets, hikes portfolio to 13

Samsung Electronics has launched three more mobile phones in the Indian market, increasing its portfolio of 3G handsets to 13.

The handset major launched Champ 3.5G (S3770), Chat 527 (S5270) and Primo (S5610) across the touch, Qwerty and bar formats.

''Our new 3G range comes with HSDPA to give consumers the real experience of 3G by delivering data speeds of 7.2 Mbps for a richer experience of content and application downloads, videocalling or browsing the internet.''       

"Consumers increasingly want to stay connected with friends and family through SMS, IM and messaging while being on the move. With our array of affordable 3G devices across different mobile formats, we are making the 3G experience accessible to a wider set of consumers,'' said Ranjit Yadav, country head, Samsung Mobile & IT.

The Samsung Champ 3.5G, a full–touch functionality phone, has a 7.1 cm touch screen helps in instant messaging, easy access to mobile applications and business related features.

The multimedia phone comes with SoundAlive feature (which enhances earphone sound with 3D effects), 2 MP camera, 30 MB internal memory, 16GB expandable memory support, video calling capability with a front camera and push mail among others. The Samsung Champ 3.5G (S3770) is priced at Rs5,590.
