Samsung to launch Galaxy C9 Pro in India this month

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro, which launched in China in October last year, would launch in India this January. According to a report of MySmartprice, Samsung would launch its first Galaxy C series smartphone in India by the end of the month.

The report added that along with the smartphone, Samsung planned to also launch its smartwatch - Gear S3. The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro launched at 3,199 Yuan or approximately Rs31,670 in China in Gold and Rose Gold colour variants and later the company also announced black colour variant in its home country, South Korea.

Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro, which comes with a 6-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display, is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 653 (4 x 1.95GHz + 4 x 1.44GHz) processor and Adreno 510 GPU. The phone comes with 6GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and 256GB expandable memory slot. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging technology. The device also has a fingerprint sensor on the home button.

The smartphone has a 16-megapixel camera on the back with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. As regards connectivity, the device offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and a USB Type C. The handset measuring 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9 mm weighs 185 grams.

Samsung has also launched the Galaxy J1 4G adding to its J range. The Samsung Galaxy J1 4G is an upgrade to last year's Galaxy J1 (2016), primarily with the 4G VoLTE, a better processor and a superior camera. The Rs6,890 smartphone has been manufactured in India under the Make in India initiative and is being offered in three colours, namely, champagne, black and white. The smartphone, which had been listed on Samsung's official website, can be bought off it as well.
