Satyam is first Asian company to rank among top 25 global training organisations

15 Mar 2007

Satyam Computer Services has been ranked 15th in Training magazine''s list of the world''s top 125 organisations for outstanding training and learning programmes.

Satyam is in the same league of top rankers as The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, PricewaterhouseCoopers, EMC Corporation, the top three, but ahead of Microsoft (19) and Deloitte & Touche USA (25).

This is the first time that an Asian company has been ranked by Training.

"It is quite an achievement to be the first Asian organization to crack this prestigious, 7-year-old list, and we have done so compellingly," said Ed Cohen, the senior vice president of the Satyam School of Leadership. "By breaking in at No.15, we show that we have come a long way in a short time, and are now among the best of the best." Cohen is no stranger to the Training ranking, having led his previous company, Booz Allen Hamilton (9th in the current rankings) to the No.1 spot just prior to joining Satyam.

The magazine noted Satyam''s ability to blend e-learning and instructor-led coursework effectively. It also mentioned the company''s iterative approach to training, whereby associates gain basic skills as entry level employees, and then develop them consistently, throughout their careers.

"Our focus on continuous learning, delivered flexibly and with innovation, is helping associates all over the world provide exceptional client value," Cohen said. "At The same time, they develop their careers and become greater assets to the enterprise. Clearly, Satyam is a committed learning organization, and we are proud that Training Magazine also recognizes that commitment."
