Senior management moves at Castrol India

Naveen KshatriyaFollowing his appointment as as regional vice president, Asia and Pacific, BP Castrol Lubricants, Naveen Kshatriya has stepped down as MD and CEO of Castrol India. He will however, continue on the board of directors of the company as non executive vice chairman. He also continues to be on the global leadership team for BP lubricants.

In his capacity as regional vice president, Kshatriya will be in charge of over 30 countries in the Asia and Pacific region, spanning from Egypt to New Zealand.

As one of the three regions in BP's Global Auto lubes portfolio, Asia and Pacific is a material business and offers significant growth opportunity with its portfolio of developing and developed markets including India and China, several fast-emerging markets and long-established operations in Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand. India, the second largest contributor globally, continues to be the lead market in this region.

Ravi KirplaniFollowing the change, Ravi Kirpalani has taken charge as chief operating officer and automotive director of Castrol India. He has also been appointed as whole time director on the board of Castrol India.

Kirpalani returns to Castrol India after four years with Castrol International in UK, where he was strategy implementation director for BP's global lubricants business. Prior to this overseas posting, Ravi Kirpalani was with Castrol India since 1999, holding a number of roles in sales and customer management.
