Siemens and Huawei-3Com to offer high performance networks in India

Siemens Ltd has and Huawei-3 Com have entered into a strategic alliance to offer futuristic IP-based voice, data and video network solutions, which optimise the total-cost-of-ownership for Indian enterprises.

The Siemens' Communications Enterprise Networks (Com EN) Division and Huawei-3 Com, a joint venture of 3Com, US and Huawei, China, announced an extension of the recently signed global partnership to the Indian enterprise market. Focusing on the Indian market, the combined Siemens-Huawei-3Com products and solutions are intended to accelerate the deployment of high performance networks, which are now essential infrastructure for all enterprises in India.

This alliance will offer networking solutions to the entire market spectrum from SOHO to large enterprises, designed to meet its specific requirements at a highly attractive total cost of ownership.

According to Peter Gartenberg, executive vice president, Siemens' Com EN Division, "In India, there is a huge demand for networks that can carry increasing data traffic and high quality voice and video over IP.
