Sierra Atlantic, University of Hyderabad to setup EAI Lab

Hyderabad: Sierra Atlantic, the application networks company, has signed an MOU with the department of computer and information Sciences (DCIS), University of Hyderabad (UOH) to set the stage for the creation of work placements for the universitys students in specific areas like as EAI, data warehousing, and other high end technologies. The MoU was signed by Dr. Y. Narasimhulu, registrar, university of Hyderabad and Mr. Sarath Sura, managing director, Sierra Atlantic.
The objective of the MoU is to build a premier partnership between the two organizations that enhances the teaching, research, and learning experiences of the Universitys students and provides Sierra Atlantic with access to some of the top technology talent. As part of this, Sierra Atlantic will help set up EAI lab in the DCIS premises and contribute in the preparation of EAI elective courseware as well as provide guest lectures. In addition, Sierra Atlantic will provide project sponsorships for M.Tech /MCA studies and annual best project awards.
According to Sarath Sura, "The foundation of this partnership is to combine the advantage of our experience of working with end customers with the universitys academic brief. A proactive interaction between our two organizations will help students become more industry ready by adding value to their existing skills. We also hope to absorb some of the smart talent available here on a regular basis.
Commenting on the tie-up Dr.Y. Narsimhulu, registrar, University of Hyderabad said, This collaboration with Sierra Atlantic will provide our students with opportunities to access world-class training, brush with real life working methodologies and gain that vital competitive edge as they step out in the world thereby making them the preferred choice for the employers."
