Chennai: Satyam Educational Services (SES), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Satyam Infoway (Sify), will resell Sun Microsystems enterprise learning platform in India to the corporate sector in India to train its personnel. As per the non-exclusive deal, SES can also develop the course content based on its client need.
Sify president and COO George Zacharias says SES also offers this software on an ASP basis so that corporates need not invest sizeable funds on the programme. The company hopes to rope in around 50 clients during the first year.
Says SES director (Asia-Pacific) Dennis Kwok: It is difficult to estimate the number of students who would take this course. Sun is also planning to enter similar deals with others as and when the need arises. But the deal with SES is the first of its kind for Sun.
